This is essentially a photo dump of my time at this ridiculously cute cafe in Saigon called Boo Coffee. Great ambience, sky view, and drinks.
Unfortunately, the blandest flavoured water I had ever had in my life.
My blessing of a cousin and tour guide.
It's two months into 2017 that I've decided to share one of my most prominent highlights of 2016—having the opportunity to revisit my motherland, Vietnam. With a slight bit of guilt, I must admit these next few posts are simply for my personal satisfaction of properly documenting the occasions that have made my year great. Like an online scrapbook of sorts.
Photos shown here are taken at Vietnam's Independence Palace and museum in Saigon, and my grandma's home in Vung Tau, the city of beaches.
the sense that time is moving faster
(Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows)
This is the last month of high school for me.
For most, time would be moving too slow, that they can't escape from high school fast enough. I look around and take in every moment to absorb that this is the last time I'll be a high schooler, not having to pay for my education, my textbooks, or worry about rent, tuition...
I'm definitely excited for university and meeting new people, but this would be the last time all my friends in high school would be gathered, laughing, crying, doing whatever stupidity they do, before they part and disperse to wherever they will go.
I've been neglecting this blog in a while mainly because nothing interesting is happening in my life, although in the past month, I've been to an amusement park and went to Toronto to search for cherry blossoms.

My friend and I have been jamming out to this for a while now, and I'd figured to share this to mark a point in my timeline as my high school graduation nears.
This song is beautiful in terms of melody and lyrics. I hope you guys enjoy it.
Behind every show, artwork, spectacle is always a culmination of endless hours of sweat, tears, hardwork that people, as the audience, often forget or disregard. Performances are done to look effortless and with ease when in reality, there was nothing easy. Nothing good ever came with ease.
Last month, I was part of my school talent show and spent most of the time more as a backstage crew member than a performer. Being able to see and be a part of the process behind the show was perhaps more entertaining and rewarding than watching the actual show itself. I guess you could say to every performance was a show for the audience and a separate one for the performers.
As a spectator for so long, it's nice to be behind the curtains and spotlight once in a while.
Here's to more backstage views in the future.
My friends look so godly I cry.
Clearly I didn't get the memo that this wasn't a parody/silly photo.
Spring is almost here and I am revelling in whatever sunshine that I had missed from the winter cold. Above is an original typography work I've done from messing around with my new Adonit Jot Pro pen. I'll probably get around to doing more typography work in the future. Stay tuned!
